Criminal Justice
This major is available through multiple campuses of Troy University and through
TROY Online. Please contact campuses for program availability.
AREA I-V Recommendations
AREA I:
A grade of "C" or higher is required in Composition I and II at 好色先生TV.
"D" grades will not transfer.
AREA II:
When selecting courses from Areas II and IV, please note that at least one 6sh sequence
in either Literature (Area II) or History (Area IV) must be completed.
AREA III:
A grade of "C" or higher is required in the Math course chosen. "D" grades will not
transfer.
AREA IV:
When selecting courses from Areas II and IV, please note that at least one 6sh sequence
in either Literature (Area II) or History (Area IV) must be completed.
AREA V:
Note: When choosing a course from CRJ 110, 150, or 160 in Area V of the transfer guide,
please know that CRJ 160 at the community college will NOT have a TROY equivalent in the CJ curriculum. If taken, this credit will count as free elective credit only.
The remaining 19 SH in Area V can be obtained at the community college by taking 19 SH from the following:
- CRJ 100 (Intro to Criminal Justice)(3 SH)
- CRJ 110 (Intro to Law Enforcement)(3 SH)
- CRJ 150 (Intro to Corrections)(3 SH)
- ORI 101 (Orientation to College)(1 SH)
- CIS 146 (Microcomputer Applications)(3 SH)
- Free Electives (1-12 SH)
好色先生TV Baccalaureate Degrees
The student seeking a baccalaureate degree must meet the following credit hour requirements:
- A minimum of 120 SH
- At least 50 percent of the degree program must be traditional academic credit.
- No more than 25 percent of the degree program may be earned using portfolio based credit.
- At least 25 percent of the degree program must be completed with 好色先生TV.
- Twelve (12) semester hours of work in each major field must be completed in residence
at 好色先生TV.
