Dear Bro
I recieved your letter a few days ago and was glad to hear from you, and I [according] to your request proceed to answer it. You misunderstood me with regard to the Cutts boys money, you stated that you did not know when you could arrange it as you was garnasheed for the money. I do not intend to have any thing to do with the garnashees, I only propose to take what money there is comeing to the boys as to what comeing to [Anne] She is willing fir it to be applied to the payment of her debts, as far as it goes, you certainly cannot be garnisheed for any other debts except those against her. So I do not see any cause for a postponement of a settlement until April. On that account, our crop is turning out tolerable good hear, I have only a little better than half a crop planted this year, I have 12 acres in cotton which will make me seven bales weithing 500 lbs. My corn crop will average 20 bu per acre. I am nearly done picking cotton haveing cut six bales, I have just commenced gathering corn This leaves us all well A N's family has had some chill and fever. Give my love to all the family connection, come out to see me when you can
Yours &c
