Historical Sketch To achieve the rank of Eagle, Boy Scouts conduct community service projects. For his required project, Jacob Price of Troop 123, Headland, AL, coordinated a series of 50 videotaped interviews of World War 2 Veterans in the Wiregrass. Price conducted some of the interviews, but the majority were conducted by troop members and Scoutmaster Charles Philips. Project occurred Sept 2003-Aug 2004 at veterans' homes, at the Headland United Methodist Church, and at Dothan's Houston Love Library.
Scope / Content Contains videotaped interviews of World War 2 veterans conducted by Jacob Price and his Boy Scout Troop members. Converted to DVDs in 2009. See below.
Provenance Price has provided copies of the tapes to many community residents and institutions, including the Headland and Abbeville, AL, libraries, Houston- Love Memorial Library in Dothan, as well as the The Wiregrass Archives.
Processing Notes In 2009, Mr. Price provided the The Wiregrass Archives with his original VHS tapes when staff copied to DVDs.
